Eight-time Pro Bowl cornerback Patrick Peterson says Caitlin Clark's best answer to the Alyssa Thomas punch that ended her night against the Phoenix Mercury is outperformance, not retaliation.
Thomas was suspended following the incident, which drew no foul call in real time, as the Indiana Fever fell 111-109 to the Mercury on Wednesday.
The Incident and Peterson's Advice Clark was on the court after a scrum when Thomas struck her in the throat.
Peterson, speaking to Fox News Digital, said Clark should channel the episode into competitive fuel, describing his own mindset as treating every matchup against an opponent who had wronged him as a circled date from the moment the schedule released.
