The Supreme Court handed down a 6-3 ruling allowing states to ban transgender student-athletes from competing on sports teams matching their gender identity rather than their biological sex, but House Democrats largely deflected questions on the decision, redirecting to the economy, gas prices, and Congressional dysfunction.

The ruling upholds state laws that had been challenged by transgender student-athletes who argued the policies violated the Constitution.
