WSFS Financial Corporation announced the appointment of Charles Mosher as Executive Vice President and Chief Audit Executive, effective October 6, 2026. The Wilmington, Delaware-based bank simultaneously promoted Lisa Washington to Executive Vice President, Chief Legal Officer, and Corporate Secretary. Michael Thompson was appointed Senior Vice President and Interim Chief Accounting Officer to succeed Mosher in that role.
Mosher, a Certified Public Accountant who joined WSFS more than 25 years ago, previously served as Interim Chief Auditor and Senior Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer. In his new capacity, he will lead the Internal Audit function and report directly to Rodger Levenson, the company's Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer, as well as David Turner, a board member and chair of the Audit Committee.
Levenson noted that Mosher's long tenure and deep understanding of financial reporting and internal controls make him well suited to lead the Internal Audit function, citing his recent leadership as Interim Chief Auditor.
Thompson, who brings nearly 30 years of banking experience to the firm, will report to David Burg, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. He arrived at WSFS through the acquisition of Bryn Mawr Trust, where he held the titles of Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer for the banking division. Before that tenure, Thompson spent six years as Chief Financial Officer and four years as Chief Accounting Officer at Royal Bancshares of Pennsylvania, Inc., a publicly traded bank later acquired by Bryn Mawr Trust.
Washington has been with WSFS since 2019, serving as Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Officer, and assumed the Corporate Secretary role in 2023. With over 25 years of experience advising public and private entities on legal and compliance matters, she will continue to lead the Legal department and advise the board and executive leadership. She reports to Christine Davis, Executive Vice President and Chief Risk Officer.
Davis described Washington as a strategic partner who has guided the company through complex regulatory environments, stating that her promotion reflects the value she brings to the organization.
Levenson added that the advancements of Mosher, Washington, and Thompson reflect the company's belief that investing in personnel builds a stronger organization. WSFS Financial Corporation reported $22.7 billion in assets on its balance sheet and $101.7 billion in assets under management and administration as of June 30, 2026. The bank operates 114 offices across Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey, Florida, Nevada, and Virginia.
