Solana (SOL) technical analysts project a potential rally toward $150, a 45% to 50% gain from current levels, driven by a developing bull pennant pattern and a surge in memecoin activity. The forecast assumes a decisive daily close above the current resistance trendline, which sits near $103 to $105.

SOL traded near $100.64 on Sept. 15, recovering from a low of roughly $74 in mid-August. This rebound moved the asset above key moving averages before momentum stalled near $108. Since that peak, the price has consolidated within a structure defined by a descending resistance line and a rising support line, a configuration identified as a bull pennant. Such patterns typically form after sharp advances as traders take profits, while the broader uptrend remains intact.

The technical setup is supported by Solana’s position relative to its exponential moving averages (EMAs). The asset holds slightly above its 20-day EMA near $99.93. Lower EMAs reinforce the recovery structure, with the 50-day EMA at approximately $92.70 and the 100-day EMA at roughly $87.78. However, the setup faces downside risk; a sustained break below the $98 to $99 area could weaken the pennant and expose SOL to the 50-day EMA near $93.

Speculative activity on the network is rising concurrently with these technical signals. Pump.fun, a major token-launch platform on Solana, recorded approximately 34,184 new token launches on Sept. 10. This figure accounted for about 85% of all launches across tracked Solana launchpads that day.

The increase in activity has translated into higher protocol revenue. According to DefiLlama data, Pump.fun generated roughly $89 million in gross protocol revenue during the third quarter so far. This total already exceeds the approximately $79 million recorded throughout the entire second quarter. Daily performance also peaked in late August, with the platform generating around $2.4 million in fees on Aug. 25, its strongest daily result in nearly a year.

Metric Value
SOL Price (Sept. 15) $100.64
Bull Pennant Breakout Level $103 - $105
Technical Target $150
Pump.fun Q3 Revenue (so far) ~$89 million
Pump.fun Q2 Revenue ~$79 million

If speculative demand persists and SOL confirms the bull pennant breakout, the combination of technical strength and memecoin revenue could support a move toward the $150 target.
