11.15 metres grading 7.65% copper-equivalent (3.10% Cu, 2.21% Ni) from drill hole SMD-26-212-W1 is the controlling intercept in NexMetals Mining Corp.'s (TSXV: NEXM | Nasdaq: NEXM) July 22, 2026 assay release at the Selebi Main deposit in Botswana. The result extends beyond the 2024 Mineral Resource Estimate boundary and, together with three companion holes, traces a mineralized trend now exceeding one kilometre in strike length within the emerging Flexure Zone.
Four holes, four sulphide intersections
All four holes in this phase intersected sulphide mineralization. SMD-26-212-W1, completed to 1,636.2 metres, is the standout: an 11.15-metre massive sulphide interval from 1,520.10 metres downhole, separated by 7.3 metres of gneiss from a secondary 13.45-metre zone of semi-massive, net-textured, and disseminated sulphides grading 2.14% CuEq. SMD-26-210 (completed to 1,716.6 metres), a 225-metre northward step-out from February 2026's SMD-25-205, returned 4.10 metres at 6.23% CuEq. SMD-26-213 (1,989.3 metres total depth) added a 22.90-metre Lower Zone interval at 3.02% CuEq, including 7.45 metres at 5.69% CuEq. SMD-26-214 returned narrower stringer and semi-massive intercepts in both zones.

Spacing, replication, and system continuity
The Flexure Zone is now delineated by holes spaced approximately 200 to 300 metres apart. SMD-26-212-W1 closely replicates SMD-25-205, which returned 11.05 metres at 7.31% CuEq in February 2026. Both correlate with historic hole sd119 (26.1 metres at 8.29% CuEq, 3.39% Cu, 2.38% Ni) from the Selebi Technical Report. Repeating thick, high-grade intercepts at 200-metre spacing across this strike length points to a continuous system, not isolated pods.
Borehole electromagnetic (BHEM) targeting is guiding the program. Modeled BHEM anomalies extend north of current drilling, keeping the trend open along strike. The consistent correlation between drill results and the strongest BHEM conductors is confirming the data-driven exploration approach, per the filing.
Program position and the 2026 MRE timeline
As of the release, 29,734 metres have been completed across 12 finished holes, 1 hole extension, 3 pre-collared holes, 4 abandoned holes, and 4 holes in progress, against a planned 30,000-metre surface program. NexMetals has retained TECT Geological Consulting to build an integrated three-dimensional geological and structural model covering both Selebi North and Selebi Main. The 2026 Mineral Resource Estimate is projected for completion in Q3 2026. CEO Sean Whiteford, in the filing, noted that what was historically treated as a standalone thick intercept (sd119) has now been replicated at 200-metre spacing, converting it into a growing kilometre-plus trend whose structural controls are still being mapped.
