Quarterback Jalen Hurts threw for a career-low 93 yards in a 24-20 loss to the Los Angeles Rams, a performance that followed a viral hot-mic moment in which he cursed at a teammate. The Philadelphia Eagles trailed 10-20 at the half but fell short after failing to convert a single third down in the second half.

The on-field friction occurred in the first quarter when receiver Dontayvion Wicks failed to move off the line of scrimmage as requested. Hurts shouted, "Get off the f---ing ball! Come on!" at Wicks, a clip that aired on the FOX broadcast. Play-by-play announcer Tom Brady reacted with "Uh oh," while Kevin Burkhardt added, "That is not good." Wicks eventually understood the assignment and went into motion.

The incident marks the second consecutive week Hurts has been involved in a viral sideline or line-of-scrimmage moment. Last week, he shared an awkward silence with star receiver DeVonta Smith. This time, the tension was audible on national television.

The Eagles' offensive struggles deepened in the second half, where they converted zero of their third-down opportunities across seven total possessions. Key personnel were missing from the lineup; Smith and tight end Dallas Goedert were out, and running back Saquon Barkley left the game early with a hamstring injury. Despite a strong defensive effort against Matthew Stafford's offense in the first half, Philadelphia could not hold its lead.

Los Angeles running back Kyren Williams scored two touchdowns in the fourth quarter to seal the victory for the Rams. The loss leaves the Eagles with a 2-2 record, trailing the New York Giants in the NFC East.

In his postgame press conference, Hurts maintained composure, stating he has "the utmost confidence in this team" and "this group." He urged his teammates to "endure," be persistent, and keep committing to one another. The Eagles travel to London on Sunday to face the Jacksonville Jaguars.
