$11.75 billion is the agreed acquisition price for Consolidated Precision Products, a castings manufacturer that GE Aerospace will purchase from Warburg Pincus and Berkshire Partners. Reported by Bloomberg's Kiel Porter, the deal will significantly expand the jet-engine manufacturer's capacity for what it characterizes as critical components.

Consolidated Precision Products makes castings. GE Aerospace builds jet engines and is paying $11.75 billion to take direct ownership of CPP's casting production from Warburg Pincus and Berkshire Partners. The stated purpose is capacity expansion: CPP's casting output falls into the component category GE Aerospace describes as critical to its engine programs.
