Tucson police recruit Carlos Ramirez killed, corrections officer wounded in home shooting

call Wednesday brought Pima County Sheriff's deputies to a home on the 7700 block of South Enchanted Spring Drive, about 17 miles southwest of Tucson, where they found 23-year-old Tucson Police Department recruit Carlos Ramirez dead and his 23-year-old fiancée, a Pima County corrections officer, in need of emergency transport.

She was in stable condition as of Wednesday. Multiple suspects remained at large.

The Pima County Sheriff's Department confirmed deputies are actively searching for the suspects, described as Hispanic males in all-black clothing and ski masks, last seen in a gray Acura MDX.

The piece over the vehicle's gas cap may be missing, investigators said. Authorities added they are reviewing thousands of video clips and may have additional footage.
