First KPMG audit of Tether: completed. That is the full picture Tether is extending to the market, and the company's chief executive has been direct about his indifference to the response.

When pressed by critics, the CEO said "Honestly, I don't care." A person with direct knowledge told The Block that Tether does not publicly share its audited statements because it is a private company.

The distinction is worth stating plainly. A Big Four audit carries weight because the methodology and standards attached to the KPMG name are known quantities. Tether did not release the result of that process.
