Taylor Sheridan, creator of the "Yellowstone" franchise and owner of the actual Four Sixes ranch in Texas, told interviewer Dale Brisby that he will not build a scripted series around the property, closing off a fan expectation that had circulated for years.
Sheridan's ranch is not simply a production backdrop. Part of the original "Yellowstone" series was filmed there, which made a standalone spinoff seem plausible to fans and reporters alike.
But Sheridan drew a firm line: real people work on the Four Sixes, raise their families there, and fictionalizing that environment, he said, would be a disservice to them.
"I could never do that to them," he told Brisby, characterizing the idea as a form of trivializing something genuine. The speculation had always centered on Jimmy.
