Slack is rolling out a feature called Slackforce Surfaces that allows users to build interactive reports, polls, dashboards, presentations, and microsites directly within chat.
The tool uses AI to gather information from relevant conversations and connected applications, such as Google Drive and Salesforce, to generate these assets.
Users describe their requirements to Slackbot, which then creates the requested Surface. Once generated, users can share these tools with colleagues or pin them to channels.
Other team members can view the Surface, interact with its features, and leave comments. Slack shared an example where a user requested an arcade-themed visualization of AI token usage.
