The SEC made the stakes explicit in an amended complaint filed Tuesday morning in Alabama federal court, after a week of courtroom confrontations in Baton Rouge elevated what began as a roster eligibility dispute into a full-scale governance crisis.

The math of expulsion: at least two-thirds of all member CEOs must vote to terminate membership, per SEC bylaws cited in the filing.

All 15 SEC chief executives other than LSU have informally signaled support for calling the meeting, and LSU President Plowman directed Commissioner Greg Sankey to issue the special-meeting notice.
