Novo Nordisk CEO Mike Doustdar has signaled the company is open to upgrading its listing in the United States.
The Danish pharmaceutical group, best known for its obesity and diabetes drug Ozempic, is currently listed in Denmark. Doustdar stated he sees advantages in providing US investors with direct access to the stock.
The move would represent a shift from the current structure, where Novo Nordisk shares are available to American investors primarily through over-the-counter trading.
An upgrade to a full US listing would typically involve listing on a major exchange, such as the NYSE or Nasdaq.
