John Curtis (R-Utah) has called on Senate Judiciary Committee leaders to issue subpoenas to Donald Trump Jr.
and Hunter Biden, seeking to investigate whether presidential family ties have been leveraged for private financial gain.
The move places the focus on a letter sent to Senate Judiciary Committee Chair Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) and Ranking Member Dick Durbin (D-Ill.).
In the correspondence, Curtis requested an inquiry into instances of "private financial benefit, preferential treatment, or access" associated with relationships to the President.
