Brookfield Asset Management, which oversees more than $1 trillion in assets under management, has agreed to acquire a minority interest in American Real Estate Partners, an institutional fund manager with a vertically integrated data center development platform.
The purchase price and stake size were not disclosed. Closing is expected in Q4 2026, subject to customary conditions.
What each side brings AREP operates as both a fund manager and a real estate developer, with its core offering centered on data center development executed across a fully integrated platform.
