$730.9 million entered US Bitcoin ETFs on Thursday, the largest single-session intake since January, as Bitcoin ($BTC) crossed back above $80,000. CryptoQuant flagged weak fresh demand alongside the print.
The two signals read in opposite directions. Thursday's flow total returns the product category to levels last seen in January. Price and inflows arrived together, a pairing that typically reads as constructive.
CryptoQuant's data introduces a split: the wrapper absorbed capital at a months-long high while fresh buyer activity at the protocol layer came in weak. ETF inflows measure capital entering the listed vehicle.
Fresh demand measures whether new buyers are accumulating the underlying asset. On Thursday, according to CryptoQuant, they did. $83,000 is the level CryptoQuant identifies as the next key test for $BTC.
