Japan holds the top position in the 2026 BGR Impact Index for the third consecutive year, according to a new analysis released by Washington-based BGR Analytics.
The index ranks 197 countries and economies by measuring their combined presence in the United States through a mix of economic, cultural, diplomatic, institutional, and geopolitical metrics.
Germany, Canada, the United Kingdom, and South Korea follow Japan in the rankings.
The release coincides with the United Nations General Assembly in New York, where more than 100 presidents and prime ministers are expected to arrive.
