That is Preqin's 2029 global alternatives AUM forecast, the figure Beneficient (Nasdaq: BENF, BENFW) cited September 18 as it announced plans to launch AltLens, an alternative asset portfolio analytics and risk platform for family offices and small institutional investors, in the fourth quarter of calendar year 2026.
The platform is designed to calculate volatility, beta, value-at-risk, correlation, and concentration metrics from historical private-market return data rather than public-market proxies.
AltLens maps each portfolio position to private-market risk segments defined by asset class, strategy, geography, and sector, and for each segment maintains a historical quarterly return series.
Silk said the choice to ground the methodology in historical private-fund performance is meant to reflect how private assets have actually behaved.
