Australia's AUSTRAC removed 45 crypto and remittance registrations in a year-long sweep

45 registrations covering digital asset and remittance operators were pulled from Australia's financial services rolls over the past year by the Australian Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre.

The count spans canceled, suspended, and unrenewed registrations. AUSTRAC also credited its action against GetCoins with helping disrupt organized investment scams. The three removal types carry different weight.

A canceled registration reflects an active enforcement decision. A suspended registration is paused while compliance matters work through. An unrenewed one lapsed when the operator chose not to seek continuation.

All three count in the 45, meaning the total captures both direct enforcement and operators that exited the registry passively. The GetCoins case is the one AUSTRAC connected to downstream crime.
